Favorite Lip Liner

Favorite lip liner! Pigment is perfection and it wears beautifully. Plus, it’s the perfect size for my purse and travel. Sus is the shade and it has a matching lipstick too! 10/10

Nice formula, but I was surprised at just how tiny this product is.

This lip pencil is so tiny that it feels awkward in my hand, and that's only going to get worse as it's sharpened down. While it's marketed as travel-friendly, I've never had trouble fitting a full-sized lip or eye pencil into even my smallest purses or clutches, so the mini size doesn't feel like a real benefit. At $9, it also doesn’t feel like great value when you can get a comparable, full-sized Colourpop pencil for less.

The current listing photos and swatches for the shade BRB are inaccurate, in my experience. Online it looks like a bright, salmon pink, but in reality it's more of a dusty rose with mauve and brown undertones. I was worried that it would be too bright, but it turned out to be a perfect match for my natural lip tone (so much so that it looks like I'm not wearing any extra color at all). It's soft, wearable, and easy to pull off on its own, without even needing the matching lipstick.

The formula itself is lovely. The liner is creamy, soft, and melty, and it applies smoothly without tugging, feeling weightless and non-drying. It does go on a little patchy and needed a second pass, and it isn't long-wearing (I get about two hours before fading, and eating or drinking makes it vanish more quickly). It's not smudge-proof, especially right after application, but it also doesn't move around unless you rub your hand over it. I love that it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin at all, that it isn't drying, that application is smooth and comfortable, and that it feels weightless rather than waxy (my complaint with a lot of lip liners).

I also appreciate that this is a clean beauty product with no fragrance, and that it's cruelty-free and vegan. The BRB shade is prettier and more universally flattering in person than it looks online. Still, the mini size is a drawback for me as someone who usually throws out a pencil once it gets this small. I have health issues that impact my hands and make the tiny size pretty uncomfortable to use, though.

Lipliner - check

Goes really well with the lipstick recommended. The RBR pink one. It went on easy and stayed too. Also I like there are no bad chemicals in this brand. It’s really clean.
